Call for a moratorium on mRNA vaccines
On the refusal to admit mistakes made

(6 March 2026) While Switzerland’s “Federal Office of Public Health” (FOPH) continues to claim that the available mRNA vaccines are “safe and well tolerated”, lawyers and doctors are joining forces with National Councillor Rémy Wyssmann to call for a “moratorium on modRNA vaccines”.1 Alarming scientific findings justify this. Facts, the legal situation and political demands were presented on 23 February 2026 at a media conference held by the “Aktionsbündnis freie Schweiz” (ABF Switzerland) in Bern. – This can be viewed in full.2

At the carefully prepared press conference, the speakers presented all the necessary information to demonstrate the urgency of a moratorium on modRNA vaccines. Member of the National Council and lawyer Rémy Wyssmann will submit the motion for a moratorium in a motion during the spring session of Parliament from 2 to 20 March 2026:
“The motion instructs the Federal Council to suspend the authorisation of all vaccine substances for which the regulatory authority Swissmedic cannot demonstrate that they have undergone the phase III clinical trials customary for other medicinal products in accordance with the standards applicable prior to 2020. These scientific standards require that the trials be placebo-controlled and double-blind, that they run for at least two years and that they involve a certain number of participants.”3
Well known, but overlooked
“The decline in births in 2022 is clearly an extraordinary event in the history of the city of Zurich,” explained the Statistical Office of the City of Zurich on 6 February 2026. In 2022, 13.7 per cent fewer children were born, even among foreign women, for whom children are highly valued, added Professor Dr. Konstantin Beck, insurance economist at the University of Lucerne. He rejected the explanation of a voluntary change in behaviour (lack of desire to have children for personal reasons) for this sharp decline in births.
His conclusion, drawn from a detailed analysis of data from various countries, is that modRNA should not be administered to pregnant women or young women of childbearing age due to the overwhelming data. However, the FOPH continues to recommend it.4 – In the USA, on the other hand, the vaccination recommendation for pregnant women was already withdrawn on 27 May 2025. Prof. Beck explains the problem of declining birth rates in detail in a position paper.5
Spike proteins uncontrollable in quantity and duration
ModRNA technology differs fundamentally from conventional vaccination principles and has been virtually unresearched in this area of application, explained Dr. med. Daniel F. Beutler, specialist in general internal medicine. The vaccination leads to uncontrolled and uncontrollable production of a foreign protein, the spike protein, in the body. High concentrations of spike proteins have been detected in vaccine-damaged individuals, in some cases even years later. He gave the striking example of a nursing professional who had been vaccinated out of solidarity with colleagues and patients and who today – seriously damaged in health – had lost his job and was dependent on social welfare. High concentrations of spike proteins had also been detected in his blood.
Why a moratorium is necessary right now
The Epidemics Act (EpG), the Therapeutic Products Act (HMG) and cantonal health laws are currently undergoing a (partial) revision. Lawyer Andrea Staubli highlighted the connections between the medical facts presented and these revisions. The following guideline from the FOPH should not be an empty phrase: “Vaccination is only recommended if its benefits far outweigh the risk of adverse side effects.” The partial revision of the EpG now proposes to promote vaccinations even more. All those working in the public health sector, such as doctors and pharmacists, among others, should be obliged to implement the national vaccination plan. More opportunities for vaccinations are also to be created in schools and workplaces. Ever more cantons are introducing the possibility of compulsory vaccination in their health legislation.
First, however, the principle of Rémy Wyssmann’s motion must be fulfilled, namely that only vaccine substances that have been tested in the “normal way” to date may be approved!
Flying blind with devastating consequences
Lawyer Philipp Kruse recalled the criminal complaint 2.0 against Swissmedic. “In the criminal complaint 2.0, we use a comprehensive risk-benefit analysis to show that mRNA preparations are associated with a (significantly) negative benefit. Swissmedic continues to deceive the population about this and many other circumstances to this day.”6
Serious deficiencies in the approval procedure for mRNA vaccines have been ignored, which is why a moratorium on their approval is legally, politically and ethically imperative. A placebo-controlled double-blind study lasting at least two years with a sufficient number of participants – the so-called gold standard in studies – has not yet been carried out. The vaccination of billions of people has taken place blindly. – The book “Die Impfmafia” (The Vaccine Mafia) by Helmut Sterz, former chief toxicologist at Pfizer, is highly recommended on this subject.7
Support for coming to terms with the “corona period”
On 10 February 2026, the Federal Administrative Court in St. Gallen published three rulings according to which Covid-19 vaccine contracts between the Swiss Confederation and the vaccine manufacturers Novavax and Moderna must be disclosed in accordance with the Federal Act on Freedom of Information (BGÖ).8 Lawyer Rémy Wyssmann had initiated one of these proceedings involved five years ago – a long time.
The FOPH had resisted the disclosure of the contracts, arguing, among other things, that Switzerland’s foreign policy interests or international relations could be compromised. If these rulings become final, the contents of the contracts can finally be assessed. One question that remains open, for example, is whether Swiss government representatives spent vast sums of taxpayers’ money on products without the contracts containing any commitments regarding the quality, efficacy and safety of the products. If this is the case, the manufacturers could not be held liable for failing to fulfil these points.
Human weaknesses?
Mr Wyssmann’s explanations regarding the nature of the email correspondence between the FOPH and Novavax are also interesting. He said that the Federal Administrative Court had been very transparent, which is why he had been able to read these emails. He was alarmed by the impression that the Federal Office of Public Health had been afraid of losing face. They realised they had made a mistake but could not admit it and therefore even asked Novavax to invoke trade secrets. He said he had seen this kind of obstructionism time and again among lawyers and bureaucrats – in the end, it was always important for them to look good. Transparency and fairness fell by the wayside – five years of obstruction is simply unacceptable! Perhaps the officials had hoped that the public would forget the whole thing, but that has not been the case because new information keeps coming to light.
Online petition
Until 24 May 2026, the Aktionsbündnis freie Schweiz (Action Alliance Free Switzerland) is collecting signatures for the petition “No partial revision of the Epidemics Act without review!”9 It calls on the National Council and Council of States to carry out a comprehensive and evidence-based review of the COVID-19 crisis before deliberating on and passing the partial revision of the EpG, or to demand that the Federal Council and FOPH do so.

ModRNA (nucleoside-modified messenger ribonucleic acid) means that the natural structure of the mRNA has been artificially altered or modified so that it causes a less severe inflammatory reaction and is broken down less quickly.
